Q: What do you think about the 2011 Buick Regal?
Do you like it?, Do you own it?

A: The 2011 Buick Regal is one of our more anticipated vehicles for this model year. It is also debuting with a Turbo model as well to add to its repertoire. It comes with XM and OnStar as well. It comes with Bluetooth for Phone connectivity. It also has either a 7 speaker or 9 speaker system where the 9 speaker system is from Harman/Kardon. It also comes with 18 inch 13 spoke wheels or 19 inch 10 spoke wheels. You’ve also got up to 8 different exterior color options. The Base model will be getting an automatic transmission but the Turbo will have an available manual transmission. The Turbo model will be made available later in the production year. I hope this information helps you.

Q: The new 2010/2011 Buick Regal?
Does anyone know where the new Buick Regal will be built?
What factory will build it

A: The Buick Regal will be a rebadge of the European Car of the Year for 2009, the Opel Insignia.

It will be build at GM’s plants in Shanghai and Oshawa in Ontario.

Q: will the 2011 buick regal be available with AWD?
My family has really been interested in the new regal, but we live in a region where winters are pretty bad. We need a vehicle awd but don’t want a bigger car like the new lacrosse, i know the regal is the lacrosse (both on the same platform) on a shorter wheelbase, which is good because the lacrosse (I test drove it) would be a lot better smaller and would be awesome to lose a few hundred lbs for it to be more fun to drive, i also know it wont be available with a v6. Please no answers saying you should get a lacrosse or a different car, JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!!!

A: Yes it will, p.59 of my Jan 2010 Motor Trend (which I just got in the mail today) says it will have AWD available later in the model year. So save your $$ for a few more months.

Q: Now Christian has pinned Swagger, Regal, Kozlov, and Y2J clean. Will he win a World title(non ECW) before 2011?
Only HBK, Undertaker, and Christian have pinned Kozlov clean.

Im sure HHH didnt do it yet, but I could be wrong.

A: Yes you are right.Triple H never pinned Kozlov clean.I hope Christian gets a world championship, but he first has to get in SD! or RAW
Chrsitian has always been the better link of E&C but people give more credit to Edge.Christian’s finisher is more complicated than anything Edge has in his arsenal.
Christian is a man of his words. What he sais,he does.I may be wrong, but Christian could fued with Edge.I thought the feud was coming after Night of Champions. They can aswell team together again.Christian can put on instant classics, like his match with Chris Jericho on ECW.Christian is better on the mic than Edge
I conclude with saying that if Vince gives the world championship to Christian,he is a real wise man

-The create-a-storyline mode has been retooled from the previous game WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2010. The game mode now has 200 animations to choose from and 30 locations for the player to design each scene. This mode still allows the player to choose from the WWE weekly shows (RAW, ECW and Smackdown) and pay-per-views. Now in this addition, you can choose up to 10 characters in an animation and new sounds, videos, camera angles and the all new End Of Show logo sign.
-The create-a-superstar feature has also been retooled. The game mode still features three-dimensional apparel but now the player is able to create your own colours to add to the clothing or hair. There are over 230 items for the player to choose from to put on the created superstar. The mode can also allow the ring announcer to say the name of the created superstar in the superstar’s entrance. This mode allows to put the created superstar into RAW, ECW, Smackdown, Free Agent, WCW, Legend and the newly added WWE Superstars. Also, the player can write their own crowd signs during the created superstars entrance by putting colour, texting and different fonting into it..
-The create-a-finisher option has been also reworked, with the addition of 20 percent more content. In the previous versions, the player was able to create a finisher grapple and create a finisher from including aerial techniques. Now the player is able to create a submission. The player is also able to adjust the submitting trajectory and speed of the move.
-The create-an-entrance option has been retooled in the game as well. The player can now create their own crowd signs for the created superstars in their entrance, but not for WWE Superstars and Divas. There are over 100 options to choose from in the advanced mode, in where now you can make a superstar or diva taunt in their entrance. You can still adjust the lighting, have fireworks and choose championship entrances but now you can choose to colour fireworks and lighting.
Game Modes
-The Road To Wrestlemania mode has been reworked also. Now, you can choose superstars out of Matt Hardy, Christian, Kane, Created Superstar, Kelly Kelly or the newly added Create Your Own. Similar to create-a-storyline, the create a Road To Wrestlemania allows you to choose any superstar from the WWE Brands (RAW, ECW and Smackdown) to use in your own created Road To Wrestlemania
-The General Manager Mode from WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2008 returns in WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2011 where now you can choose any matches that are assigned into the game or your created matchtype. You can choose from whichever shows (RAW, ECW, WCW or Smackdown (WWE Superstars is for all 4 Brands)) with the General Managers being from RAW is Stephanie McMahon, from ECW is Tiffany, from Smackdown is Theodore Long and now the game able to allows you to create a General Manager for the WCW Brand.

A: nice.

Q: Very weird thing about SvR 2011?
They say there will be 70 playable characters.

The current roster (With no announcers, gm’s or chairmen)

All superstars, all divas, all season 1 nxt rookies

Only comes up to 76!

I can barely see Tamina as a playable, same for Hornswoggle and maybe Regal.

A: Only? That’s the biggest roster in a Smackdown game in a long time! They won’t have Tamina because she hasn’t been in WWE for that long. Hornswoggle will probably be a manager again and William Regal will most likely get in. 76 is a great amout of superstars.

2008 only had about 30 superstars, so consider that.

Q: 2011 Royal Rumble Predictions?
Entry

The Miz
Rey Mysterio
John Cena
R-Truth
Finlay
JTG
Kane
Tyson Kidd
Mark Henry
Edge
Kofi Kingston
Chavo Gurrero
Undertaker
Matt Hardy
Zack Ryder
Randy Orton
Evan Bourne
William Regal
Christian
Jack Swagger
Vladimir Kozlov
Justin Roberts
Big Show
The Great Khali
Goldust

A: Its Edge’s time to win it

Q: SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 roster.?
I have worked out when THQ base their SVR Series, around two PPVs after WRESTLEMANIA. So here is the most likely roster:

Raw:
Alicia Fox, Batista, Brie Bella, Carlito, Chris Jericho, David Hart Smith, Edge, Eve, Ezekiel Jackson, Gail Kim, Goldust, Jillian, John Cena, John Morrison, Mark Henry, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Primo, R-Truth, Randy Orton, Santino Marella, Shawn Michaels, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase, The Great Khali, The Miz, Triple H, Tyson Kidd, Vladimir Kozlov, William Regal, Yoshi Tatsu and Zack Ryder.

SmackDown:
Beth Phoenix, Big Show, Chavo Guererro, Chris Masters, Christian, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finlay, Hornswoggle, Jack Swagger, JTG, Kane, Kelly Kelly, Kofi Kingston, Layla, Luke Gallows, Matt Hardy, Michelle McCool, MVP, Rey Mysterio, Rosa Mendes, Serena, Shad, Tiffany and The Undertaker.

NXT may be a Road to WrestleMania type thing.

And I’m just guessing that these superstars will have their own Road to WrestleManias:

Randy Orton, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Triple H could be the tag team one, Michelle McCool and maybe Batista as well.

A: Well that’s pretty expected, but I think they should add some legends in there too. Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart and etc. and this time, unlockables not those god damn codes. I wish they include feature where users can edit Superstars overalls. I don’t think HBK will be in road to wrestlemania he might be an unlockable though.

New Game Types to add:

-GM Mode! (They should seriously add this back and not only that, but enhance it so you can create storylines, get ratings, maybe being put on probation, random roster drafts, 3 hour shows, commercial frees so it would affect your budget but higher rating or maybe even possibly a feud with a superstar on your show!)

-Create your own superstar AND go through an NXT season. (On NXT, you should be able to compete in challenges, the pro’s poll, you get assigned your very own Pro! If you don’t win NXT, you should be able to play again in the next season, you could have a feud with a fellow NXT competitor, feud with your pro, feud with an announcer, say ANYTHING you want to ANYONE etc etc, maybe be called up to accompany your pro to match on another show and if your a heel you could want to help them win by cheating but if your pro is a fan favourite they may hate it, especially if you get them DQ’d, however if your pro is a heel then they may like it and you could gain something from it. All these realistic things im talking about.)

-More players in the ring! especially for Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank. (Although it may become to hectic in the ring

2. Any other ideas you would add to something, or ideas of your own that you think should be good?

A: I read through all of your overalls and the only thing that was wrong was that Maryse’s overall was to high, and Masked Kane shouldn’t be a seperate character, it should just be an alt. attire for Kane.

I love the GM Mode idea. It would be so much fun competing for ratings especially with the cutscenes.

Great idea with NXT mode. That would be a great add to RTWM storyline.

I agree they really need more than 6 superstars in the RR>

BQ1: The best would be your GM Mode idea.

BQ2: Some of my ideas:
Create a tag team finisher
Have the FCW roster, and be able to sign them to your roster in GM Mode.
More realistic graphics
Pujabi Prison and Ambulance Match
Create your own arena/show/PPV for GM Mode
Create your own Championship
Create your own Match

A: Make Yoshi 80 and The Miz 87 for Raw. For Smack Down: Take away Chris Masters and bring down Chavo’s overall. For Divas: Put a higher overall for Eve, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, Maryse, Melina, and Natalya. GM and create a superstar/ nxt thing is genius. 1: I like the ideas. NXT the best though. 2: I would add one thing and that is that in backstage matches you should be able to use anything as a weapon. Ex: In Mr. Mcmahon’s office a super heavyweight should be allowed to like pick up the desk and throw it at the opponent. By the way this is the best question I ever read and given an answer to.

-DLC of NXT Rosters

-Although the Superstar Threads ideas was brilliant, they should still include alternate attires for every superstar! I mean come on! Even Yoshi Tatsu has a different attires! They should include old school Undertaker attires, Old HBK attires, DX’s new cameo attires

-Bring back Special Referee matches! I loved that!

-More things to do when you come out as a manager! (eg different ways to distract the referee or pulling out your mates opponent from the ring, beating them up while the in ring player distracts the referee and then throwing them back in, throwing a player back in the ring!)

-More in crowd or on-set fighting! Did you see where John Cena and Batista fought at Over The Limit? Yeah they should include more of that in the arenas! Like if there is a car on set, you should be able to use it!

-Ability to go backstage! from the ring with no loading interuptions!

-Cut the corny commentary

-Make the pin counts more realistic, but I love the new kick-out system!

-And now my favourite Idea (aswell the NXT idea;))For submissions, each player (you) should actually want to tap out, rather than your superstar actually doing it by him/herself! Let me explain, say how well you do in the game, eg. completing things on NXT, or completing a game mode like general manager mode and most importantly winning matches, you get points, and them points you save up to buy something ne
Theres more but it didn’t show all of it :S

A: Absolutely agree word for word of that
Its about time they bring back gm mode, i think it was better than story designer!

1. What do you think of my ideas? Which one do you like best
2. Any other ideas you would add to something, or ideas of your own that you think should be good?

A: You should take up a course in coding, apply for a coding job at THQ, and do the Lord’s work.

Jeff Morris, GM Customer Service

Q: Buick Regal?
Was the Regal the sportiest model in Buick’s lineup or was it the Riviera or even the Reatta (Don’t hate! Buick did have sport-like cars)

A: I like the style of the Reatta 2 door better, but they are hard to find.

Q: buick regal?
my Friend just got a 1998 Buick Regal with 128K on it and when i took him down to get the car in his name they told him the car is stolen but the laddy he got it off of was the 1st owner and she show him that is really was her car how do u go about it?

A: Get a notarised statement from the seller to take to DMV. You need a clear title before it can be registered in your name.

Q: Buick regal?
My fiance got in a car crash friday the total on the repairs for his car are going to cost him more then he paid for it.. i guess that tearn would be he totaled it.. But he is going to get a knew car because of that reason. and was lookin at buick regals like 2001. is this a good car.. and comments or advice on this?? any information would be greatly appriciated thank you!!!

A: They are a great car. They have one of the most powerful and reliable engines around,(3.8liter) and they also have a wide body stance making them great on the road no matter what is on it, such as water snow and ice. This car has great consumer repair reports and with the car beign a GM car, the part are easy to find in the event that a repair need to be made. This engine has also been in service a long time making it’s parts cheaper also. if he like performance, I beleive they also have a supercharged model!!! Great selection! good luck

Q: 1999 Buick Regal GS requires premium gas. Can I use a lower octane and supplement with Octane boost?
I just bought a 1999 Buick Regal GS, which is supercharged. It requires premium unleaded gas. I was curious if I could buy 87 or 89 octane and add a bottle of octane boost. This might be cheaper considering the price of gas these days. Any thoughts?

A: Octanes are suggested for optimal engine performance. You should use what it calls for to maintain a healthy motor.

“Many high-performance engines are designed to operate with a high maximum compression and thus need a high quality (high energy) fuel usually associated with high octane numbers and thus demand high-octane premium gasoline.

The power output of an engine depends on the energy content of its fuel, and this bears no simple relationship to the octane rating. A common understanding that may apply in only limited circumstances amongst petrol consumers is that adding a higher octane fuel to a vehicle’s engine will increase its performance and/or lessen its fuel consumption; this may be false under most conditions — while engines perform best when using fuel with the octane rating for which they were designed and any increase in performance by using a fuel with a different octane rating is minimal or even imaginary, unless there are carbon hotspots, fuel injector clogging or other conditions that may cause a lean situation that can cause knocking that are more common in high mileage vehicles, which would cause modern cars to retard timing thus leading to a loss of both responsiveness and fuel economy. This also does not apply to turbocharged vehicles, which may be allowed to run greater advance in certain circumstances due to external temperatures.”

Q: Where is the starter relay located on a 1996 buick regal?
I have an intermittant starting issue on a Buick Regal. I checked for power at the starter solenoid when the key was in crank, but no dice. Most vehicles have a starter relay that is energised by the key which in turn energised the starter solenoid. Does anyone know where this may be located? I can’t find it.

A: on all the gm vehicles i have ever seen, they do not use a relay to control starter activity. instead they use a solenoid which is very similar in function but quite the same shape. the solenoid is located on the starter it self. if you fallow the positive wire all the way down to the starter you will find that the wire is bolted to the solenoid.

Q: How can I fix a locked ignition in a 2002 buick regal?
I pulled the keys out of my friends 2002 buick regal, and now the ignition won’t turn. The ignition was in the “ON” (not start postion and car not running) postion when the keys were removed.

A: you will need to change the ignition lock cylinder. This could be difficult if cylinder will not turn because you may have to turn it to release the holding pin you could try another key or WD-40 Also use care around air bag.

Q: How do I fix the blinker in my 93 buick regal?
I have a 93 buick regal. A few months back the blinker stopped blinking. I checked and replaced any bulbs that were bad, but it didn’t fix the problem. I also changed the fuse. Now it will occasionally blink, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, and then sometimes it just comes on but doesn’t blink. Is there another mechanism that controls this? And if so, how would I go about replacing it? Thanks!

A: I would start with the flasher unit under the dash. After that it sounds like you need the turn signal switch in the steering column.

Q: Where can I find a Diagram for a 1992 Buick Regal Gran Sport Heater Core?
I am trying to replace a heater core in my Buick Regal Gran Sport. I need a diagram to show me how.

A: First of all let me comend you on your taste in cars….a regal GS is an awesome car……..as for the question at hand…..I would stop by your local parts store and purchase a “haynes” or “chilton” brand repair manual……both will usually give step-by-step instructions as well as exploded views for your make and model!!!

Q: Does running an 98 buick regal without the super charger cause engine damage?
I looked at an 98 buick regal with 150000 miles on it. The super charger needs replacing (found refurb oem for $1100 online, i have a mechanic for the labor). Car is being sold for 1500. Replacing a supercharger from a dealer is about $3000. I just want to know if there is any damage being done to engine or transmission because the car is being ran without a supercharger.

A: I’m assuming you mean a Turbocharger, in which case it shouldn’t hurt anything, just run like a dog. A car with a Supercharger (Rootes blower or Paxton type) wouldn’t be likely to even start up.

Q: What can we do with the ceiling of our 1986 buick regal?
Our gpa recently gave me and my cousins a 1986 buick regal to practice driving in, but the ceiling of the roof is like rotted out.. Should we just take it out? Is there something we can replace it with? thanks for the help!

A: Remove the headliner with its fiber board panel. Remove all the headliner material and scrub off any remaining foam particles from the fiberboard, I used 3m scrubbing pads.
JO-Ann fabrics carries headliner material. Buy 4 cans of automotive spray glue. Spray the fiber board and the back of the new headliner material. Use two coats of glue.
Make sure you pre fit the new material. Trim the excess after gluing

Q: How to remove the back seat bench and the backrest on a 1998 Buick Regal?
I want to know how remove the backseat bench and the backrest on a 1998 Buick Regal, so i can get to the seat belts. Can some one please help me?

A: Push against the upper front edge of the lower seat cushion, down and towards the back at the same time. This may take some effort, especially if it hasn’t been out in a while. Brace yourself and position yourself to get some leverage. Once it moves back an inch or two, lift up and then forward.

Once you have that out, there are a pair of bolts into the floorpan holding the backrest in, but you should be able to access the seatbelts without taking that out. If you do still want to take it out, after removing the bolts, you need to slide the backrest up an an inch or two, then you can pull it forward and out.

You may have to maneuver past and/or remove some armrests and/or window cranks to fully remove the backrest. While you have it off, check the back side of the backrest. There may be a “buildsheet” stuck between the springs and the cushioning material.

Q: How do I open a locked door on a 1988 buick regal?
I locked my keys in my buick regal, is there any way for me to get in the car without going to a locksmith?

A: Only if you have an extra key or a slim jim set handy. You may be able to call a GM dealer with the VIN and still get a key cut. I don’t remember how far back they go but it’s worth a shot.

Q: What is behind the rear license plate of a 1982 buick regal?
Long, long ago I owned a 1982 Buick Regal. I was reminiscing about the car with a friend and we both seem to remember the rear license plate flipping down. Are we losing it or is there something back there?

A: the license plate flipped down to reveal the gas cap.

Q: How do you manually close a sunroof in a 1996 Buick Regal GS?
i have a 1996 Buick Regal GS the sunroof is stuck open, all the way back. it will not come foward at all. is there a way to manually close it before it rains?

A: some vehicles have a bolt under the plastic covers that you can turn and manually close it with

good luck

Q: Need help locating blower motor resistor for a 98 buick regal?
Blower Motor replaced but will only work on high no other settings work. My buddy thinks it may be the blower motor resistor. We are unable to locate this. This is a 1998 Buick Regal.

A: One of two places-under the hood on the passenger side near the firewall. It will have 4 wires going to it and it is usually bolted with 2 small screws into the blower motor housing.
Or under the passenger dash panel. Same configuration.
Largest guage wire will be purple.

Q: How can you make the 2009 dodge challenger srt8 weigh less?
What parts can you remove from the 2009 dodge challenger srt8 to make it significantly lighter?

A: Nothing will make a big difference. You’ll hear some people say remove the spare tire, take out the back seat, stuff like that – taking 100 lbs off the car won’t make a noticeable difference in a car that weighs more than two tons. And what would you do if you removed the spare and then had a flat?

If you want a lighter car, buy a Mustang or wait for the Camaro.

EDIT – as I expected, you did get an idiot that thought removing the back seat would be a good idea. You will NEVER notice the difference in performance, and now your 5 seat coupe seats 2. Moron.

Q: Am i the only one that likes the dodge challenger srt8?
why is it that every time i see a video on youtube of the dodge challenger srt8, some crappy honda or some ghetto car beats it and then people on the forum try to say that the honda is stock!

does any body know of a video that shows the srt8 winning?

personally i think the challenger is kickass!!!

A: I love it also, wish I could fit one into the old budget.

Q: I have a choice between 2 cars. Which one should I get, the Dodge Challenger SRT8 or the 2010 Mustang GT?
My cousin has a 1989 5.0 Mustang and everyone else I know has a mustang, but I really like the Dodge Challenger SRT8. I dont know what I should do.

A: Dodge Challenger SRT 8 hands down.

Q: How much does a Brand new Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost in Mexico?
Because I plan on joining the army and use my signing bonus to buy a new car. I also want to save some money.

A: depends who is buying it…….drug dealers pay cash, so they’ll look for a deal……..a regular working man won’t have the pesos or credit, so he’ll get stuck paying more.

Q: Who owns or will own the 2008.75 Dodge Challenger SRT8?
Who has purchased the new 2008.75 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and what do you think about it?
We just got our first one at our dealership and I was wondering what people thought of it.
It is one of the few that hasn’t been sold yet and I wanted some testimonials from actual owners to assist when demostrating the vehicle other than your normal 0-60, stylish retro look, quarter mile mumbo jumbo!
Thanks ahead of time.

A: I wish I could afford to buy one. We also just got our first one (black in color) at the dealership I work for, and I tell you what that is one awesome looking car.

Q: Have you seen any 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8’s on the street?
I know they are out but i’ve yet to see one on the street. If you have seen one on the street or at your local car lot, let us hear your story and your thoughts.

A: I have seen one.
What I like about the Dodge Challenger SRT8:looks supercool
What I hate about it:engine is too loud

Q: what is faster a 2007 dodge challenger srt8 or a 2006 dodge charger srt8?
i need help i need to know what to buy please stock srt8 answers only

A: Charger is a boat too…duh they both weigh about the same

Charger SRT8 -4150lbs
Challenger SRT8 – 4167lbs

It depends on the gearing and if you get auto or stick.

I’ve seen stock Chargers SRT8’s run 13.2.-3 in 1/4 mile and I’ve seen Challengers run 13.3 – 5 in 1/4 mile.

Oh and by the way there is no 2007 Challenger. Challengers went into production in 2008.

Q: How much will the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost?

A: all of em are already sold and for a premium over sticker.

Q: How much will the Dodge Challenger SRT8 cost?

A: Dodge lists an MSRP of $40,095. Since the vehicle has been eagerly anticipated, I would assume that dealerships will be adding a substantial markup on top of the $40K sticker.

Q: should i get a 2008 dodge challenger srt8 or dodge ram3500 cummins?

A: I have had a 08 Challenger SRT8 on order since Feb 07. Firstly, Good luck in finding a 2008 SRT8 Challenger and secondly, good luck in getting one for MRSP….you will be looking at easily a +$10K market up for an SRT8 (min. $50K).

Having a 06 Magnum SRT8 (summer car) and a 04 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD with performance upgrades. I enjoy both vehicles but I would have to say my truck is the more enjoyable and most practical of the two vehicles as I haul my family around in it, haul our 5th wheel, and best thing I enjoy is the look at sports car owners when I blow there doors off.

The Dodge Ram 3500 you can have the best of both worlds….HP(lots of performance upgrades) & a workhorse hauler. The cummin’s you can crank out the HP and Torque very easily with a Performance Chip, exhaust, CAI, injectors. If you want to get carried away you can get stackable chips and propane injection that can crank out the HP. Also, the CTD is a great motor long lasting! However, the drawbacks for the Diesel when a part breaks be prepared for a big bill at times! Diesels are not the cheapest to maintain when things break.

If you wait for the 2009 Challenger they will have a 6 speed manual and a possible 6.4L Hemi that will crank out +500HP.

Q: Dodge Challenger SRT8?
Hi,

I was thinking about buying a Dodge Challenger SRT8. It is one of the best looking muscle cars I have ever scene. Do you have an experience with the car or info and articles available?

A: You can’t go wrong in in the purchase of the Dodge Challenger SRT8. The Camaro will fit someone in the drivers seat who is about 5′1″ that weighs 90 lbs. The Challenger ride quality is superb, not to mention the power the car has at 425 horsepower, and that’s stock!

Trust me when I tell. I also agree with the first poster, I looked at that and there is good info with a good discussion forum. Stick your head in there and check it out.

Q: which is better dodge challenger srt8 or ford mustang shelby gt 500?
i want to know which car is better i heard the dodge challenger are rare but the ford mustang shelby is better i need help

A: It really depends on the year model your going to buy. My advice go for the challenger, not to mention that the you dont find many challengers roaming around. But if price is an important issue to you then the mustang is cheaper no doubt. My older brother owns a porsche 911 turbo and he wants to sell it and get a Corvette ZR1 so it depends on what you think is necessary.

Q: Dodge Challenger SRT8 6 Speed.?
I bought a Dodge Challenger SRT8 6 speed and I’m happy with it except for one thing. The clutch grabs way to high on the pedal. Is there a way I can adjust the clutch so it grabs a little sooner? You have to let the pedal out just about all the way before it will engaged. Thanks for your answers.

A: It needs to be adjusted to your liking…Right now it,s a little too tight…Your dealer should be able to help you out..Hopefully for free!!!

Q: which car is faster the 2011 mustang 2009 dodge challenger srt8 or the 2010 camaro ss i need specific info?
what are their top speeds
what are their prices new and used prices
help i cant decide which to buy helpppppppppp

A: This is one’s for the actual dealerships, guy. And I doubt you’ll be hitting the top speeds on public roads…

Q: Dodge challenger srt8 as a daily driver?
I plan to get a dodge challenger srt8 after a couple of years (when the price lowers) and is 14city/20hwy alright as a daily driver? All ima do is go to the mall, drive my mom around, go to school, and show it off ofcourse =]. So what do you guys think about that? and if i drive it in a way to save gas, would it still be alright?

PS: How long do you guys think it’ll for the 09 challenger srt8 to atleast drop to 20k?

A: I’ve got an 09 SE as my daily driver doing majority highway-style driving and it’s still a lil bit of a punch to the wallet even with a decent job/paycheck. I’d advise the at most R/T if you’re gonna use it as a daily driver. If you’re going to be doing stop and go driving the cylinder cut-off won’t register so your mileage will be far worse than you’re expecting. Judging by your grammar and typing you’re not older than 25 so insurance is going to be a b*tch also, make sure you get some quotes and factor that into your plans. The Challenger has an 18.5 gallon tank (average fill-up with the low gas light is 16.5 gal) that you’ll probably have to refill bi-weekly at best so add in gas prices.

As far as price, barring Chrysler going bankrupt for good and shutting down, I wouldn’t expect to see prices of $20,000 for at least 5 years or 80K miles. Just estimates but the only marginally comparable aged car is a 2007 SRT8 Charger and its recommended selling price is still 25,000 according to Edmunds.com. And the new Charger isn’t nearly the ‘collector’ item the Challenger is.

Whatever trim you end up with, its a cool car that always gets a ton of looks/comments. Good luck

Q: dodge challenger?
next year i will be leasing a new car after my bmw 530i lease is up. currently i have two cars in my mind one is ford mustang gt, the other one is the upcomming 2008 dodge challenger. i know that after driving a bmw, its going to be depressing to drive any of these two cars, however i am tired of paying over $900 on payments. so which car should i get 2008 ford mustang gt which is 4.6 v8 about 300hp or the 2008 dodge challenger which is 6.1 v8 about 450hp and cost between 25,000-30,000. i need honest answers from people who have own mustangs and other american cars.

A: I think your in for a difficult transition but i would go with the challenger they are both decent looking outside but the ford is very cheep inside and from what Ive see the challenger looks like it will have at least a decent interior. the 450Hp only helps its case, plus everyone and there mother doesn’t own one. Mustang’s are a dime a dozen.

Q: Dodge Challenger….?
I know the new Dodge Challenger SRT-8 came out, but does anyone know if Dodge is going to make:

a) A cheaper version with less power
b) A convertible version

Thanks!

A: The ‘08 will be SRT8 only.
The ‘09 will come out with the Hemi engine as well as the 3.5 litre V6. There are also plans for a convertible version as well as 4.0 litre engine ( the new Phoenix motor replacing the current 3.5 L V6 ) coming out around 2010 or 2011

Q: What will the sticker price be on the new Dodge Challenger? Is it rear wheel drive?
I had two questions about that new dodge challenger. What will the sticker price be and is it rear wheel drive?

A: around 40 thousand and it is rear wheel drive,it should be a nice one, good luck.

Moron.

Q: How much would insurance be on a 2010 r/t dodge challenger?
It would be a 2010 r/t dodge challenger for a 19 year old female . No at-fault accidents or criminal record or anything. How much would the insurance be? Any ideas would help. Also, would she need a cosigner if she had no credit history but had cash for a down-payment? Any way around the cosigner because her dad doesn’t want her to get one haha thanks!

A: Try this site

http://www.usainsurancequotes.net/

Here you can compare quotes from different companies

Q: Is there a company that could make a replica 1970 Dodge Challenger body?
Me and my friend are both going to find broken down versions of our dream muscle cars, and I was wondering if instead of me having to find a rusted out shell of a car to fix if there was a company that could just make a replica body of a 1970 Dodge Challenger.
I could buy a new car for the price it’d cost to to this, but that’s not the point. I could buy several new cars for what I’d be willing to spend on this, but a new car does not have the nostalgia, class, or culture that comes with a vintage car.

A: Phone Boyd Coddington in CA. Those guys can make anything inside a couple of months.

Q: why 2009 dodge challenger front seats gets hot when the car is running ?
I have 2009 dodge challenger & when the car is running the front seats gets hot, But the car does not have heated seats. what’s a problem & what should I do?
I don’t have heated seat on my car but the seats in front gets hot. How can I fix it?

A: You actually DO have heated seats.
It’s not an option on that car it’s factory standard equipped. You didn’t get a choice.
Read your owners manual and learn how to turn them off. Or maybe you actually have an electrical malfunction keeping them on when they shouldn’t be, in which case you should see your dealer for warranty repair.
In either case, NICE CAR DUDE!!!!!!!!!

Best of Luck!

Q: Where should I look or where can I get a 1970 Dodge Challenger?
Hi I am looking for places I should look to find a 1970 Dodge Challenger for cheap. It can be a hing of junk or whatever, needing work. Please let me know, thank you.

A: There are a lot of online sites that have some classic and muscle car listings. But the two that have the most are hemmings.com and carsonline.com. Most car collectors use them because of their reputation. If there is one available in the US, you’ll find it on one of them, or both.

Q: What Year was the best year for the Dodge Challenger?
I want to know what the best year for the Dodge Challenger was *before* 1980. When was it most popular, and today which year is considered the holy grail of Challengers?

A: 1970, in my opinion was the best challenger for the time.

Q: Can the dealer program new keys for a 2010 Dodge Challenger without the car?
Suppose you lost both keys for a 2010 Dodge Challenger and only have the regular key for the door and glove box. Does the car have to be present at the dealer for them to program new keys?

A: Why in the world did you loose both keys already? You need to chain them to your arm or something. But you will need to take the vehicle into the dealer.

Q: How dependable is the V6 in the new Dodge Challenger?
I’m thinking about getting the new Dodge Challenger with the 3.5 litre V6. Just curious about how reliable it is.

Thanks

A: I own a 2009 R/T Challenger and the V-8 is awesome, but the best of the best out of all three.
The V-6 would be great to save money on gas and still have the pretty looks.
Upgrading to the V-8 will of course bring you power, but if you “step on it” your money will fly out of your wallet. Whats nice about the V-8 is that at cruise speeds (when you don’t step on it) it switches to a 4 cylinder. But the V-6 will hold of up great! They are fabulous cars. One thing, be aware of your right rear rocker quarter panel. I had to have mine fixed and so did some other owners from the Challenger forum site.

Q: Why is the Dodge Challenger Concept not on the buyable list of cars in NFS Undercover?
I really want to buy the Dodge Challenger Concept in NFS Undercover but it is not under the list of American cars as buyable or locked. Help please.

A: now i havent got the game but since most of the need for speeds have some cars in a bonus section mabye you should try that idk i just wanted to give some advice

Q: Can a Dodge Challenger Hold 4 People Comfortable?
Can it and is the Dodge challenger worth it?

A: Yes, that is one good thing about the challenger, it does have a large backseat. Four people should be comfortable.

Q: how much would a 2008 dodge challenger cost?
i really want a dodge challenger but they are expensive (almost $60,000) so how could i get a used one for around $20,000
i seen that but what difference does it have from the se and the r/t?…is it a big difference or what?

A: The new Challenger SE sells for about $21,000

http://autos.yahoo.com/dodge_challenger/

(edit)
Well, the SE has a 3.5L V8 with 250hp, the R/T and SRT8 have larger V8 engines and they have a few different features. If you really want a Challenger and can deal with a little less power, the SE was designed for you.

Q: What it the difference between the 1970 dodge challenger T/A and the R/T?
I cant quite figure out the difference between the 1970 dodge challenger R/T and the 1970 doge challenger T/A

but 1 more question. is the 1969 ford mustang mach 1 428 cobra jet ram air or the boss 420 better then each dodge challenger?
and what about the 1972 dodge charger

A: The Challenger was introduced in 1970 with two models:

BASE CHALLENGER
hardtop
SE formal hardtop
convertible

CHALLENGER R/T
hardtop
SE formal hardtop
convertible

The standard engine in the R/T was the 383 Magnum. Optional was the 440-4, 440 Six Pack, and 426 Hemi. The 340 was not available on the R/T, no matter what anyone tells you – they’re wrong.

The base Challenger could be had with the Slant 6 or the 318 standard. From there, you could get the 383-2 and the 383-4 (almost like an R/T incognito). The 340 also was available on the base Challenger (hardtop and ragtop only) as the 340 Performance Package . . . and this is where the T/A comes in.

As Dodge decided to offer the 340 package on the base Challenger, it only makes sense that the Challenger T/A package was offered on the base Challenger. This package – only available on the hardtop – came with a fiberglass hood similar to the 1969 A12 Super Bees and Road Runners, special striping, side-exit exhaust (except in CA, I believe), a special spoiler package, and a 340 engine with Six Pack carburetors, among other heavy-duty equipment. This model was produced to certify certain modifications legal for Trans-Am racing (get it? T/A? But Pontiac already dibs for the name). The front and rear tires were of different sizes – very unusual at the time – and was the best-handling Challenger of them all. Despite a 1971 advertisement showing the T/A would return, none were built.

Regarding your Mustang question, I’d say the CJ is equivalent to the Challenger’s Six Pack. Parts are much easier to find for the Mustang. The Boss 429 was practically hand-built, and in some ways it can’t be compared to the Challenger because of the modifications that were required for it to be built. However, bone-stock Boss 429 cars tended to disappoint road testers at the time because it wasn’t as fast as it looked (despite 13-second times, like a Hemi Challenger R/T). However, Boss 429s have been super-expensive for a very long time.

The 1972 Charger . . . depends on the model. There was the R/T replacement called the Rallye which had a 400 standard and could have a 340 and 440 optional (about 5 or so Six Packs were built before it was cancelled on the first week). You could also get the 440 on the SE. This was the first year for the low-compression engines, so 1971s tend to be more desirable but the 1972 have their own appeal and can still be fast.

Q: Challenger SRT8 vs Camaro 2SS what would you get and why?
Dodge Challenger SRT8 vs Chevy Camaro 2SS
what would you get and why?
Hey i’m getting my license in a few weeks and i’m wondering what should i get
a Dodge Challenger SRT8 or a Chevy Camaro 2SS

A: I’d take the camaro because of looks. They are both fast cars.

But I’m pretty sure you’re parents are not going to drop 50K on a car for new driver, especially one that has that much HP.

Q: What is the best New Muscle Car for the money: Mustang Shelby, Camaro SS, Charger SRT8 OR Challenger SRT8?
Forget the overpriced Corvette.

I’m torn between the Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8-both looks and performance are kick ass!

A: All are good cars. Pick the one that YOU like best.

The Charger SRT8 costs $38,180
The Challenger SRT8 costs $41170
The Mustang Shelby costs $45000
The Camaro SS is a bargain at $30,995

The Vette isn’t all that much over priced as you say. A base model Vette is only $4000 more than the Shelby and will out perform all of the others on your list.

Personally, I pick The Camaro SS. With the $15,000 you save from not buying the other cars on your list you could ship your new Camaro to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and have their 570 HP TVS2300 Supercharger Package installed. You would sure suprise the heck out of the Mustangs, Chargers, and Challengers that you may run across.

If my budget would allow the Vette would be my second choice.

Q: Have your heard of the car Challenger srt8?
My dad ownes 1..
rick b.. dont be rude!

A: yes the srt8 is one of the nicest ones they build, and there’s a few of them around where i live at,i can look ot my window on a clear morning and see the one my neighbor owns, your dads got a nice car.good luck.

Q: 2008 dodge challenger SRT8 top speed?
anyone know what the top speed a 08 challenger SRT8 can hit is?

A: Electrically limited to 170 mph

Q: What is faster, the Saleen S281, or the 2010 Challenger SRT8?

A: truth is the mustang is lighter and has it beat, unless they lighten the challenger up some the times will be slower on it than the mustang, good luck.

Q: What is the song in the 2010 acura tl commercial?
It sounds a lot like “Breath Me” by Sia. Overlapping piano melody, instrumental. It’s the commercial where they show you the engine by itself in an empty room, then they add the drive train on top of it, then the frame of the car. It’s killing me!

A: Look here:

http://www.splendad.com/

There is also ‘adtunes’.

Q: What are 2010 Acura tl mpgs as well do dune mettalic pearl fade away over time?
Just want to find the mpg for that year 2010 or 09s

A: You can go to any car review site online and find the mpg answer. As for the color…most new colors do not fade over time. Vehicles have a clear coat on the paint that prevents that. If the paint gets cloudy looking or spider webbed (tiny scratches that can be seen from a side view of a flat surface such as the hood) you have a couple choices. You can take it to a shop and have it detailed and buffed. Or you can go to griotsgarage.com and buy their random orbital polisher and do it yourself. It will take several hours to do if you’ve never done it yourself so be aware. But each time you do it you will get better and faster. The plus to the Griot’s polisher is that it’s nearly impossible to burn the paint and trim pieces or even plastic.

Q: Should i get my Acura 2010 TL WHITE, Tinted?
I have a new 2010 tl white, and was wondering if i should get the window tinted.. and how dark/light should the tinted window be? Thanks

A: Congrats on your new car! Well, depending on which state you live in, the % of legal tint will vary. http://www.tintlaws.com/ I think 30-35% would look very good, 20% would also look good, but it’s harder to see when it’s very dark. Do your research, make sure you get a high quality brand tint, and make sure it has a warranty…lifetime is ideal.

Q: what would win in a race toyota camry 2010 or acura tl 2000?
hey what would win in a race toyota camry 10 or a acura tl?

A: i would have to say the acura

Q: 2010 Acura TSX or 2010 Acura TL?
Ok, so i am 17 and i can either get a 2010 TSX or a 2010 TL. I can get the best version of each one and i will be able to get all the accessories…rims, spoilers, tints, rainguards etc for both. I would get the TSX in blue and i would get gunmetal or matte black rims. Im not sure what i would get for the TL. Any suggestions/tips/advice?

A: Well, I would definitely go with the Acura TL obviously but the mistake that Acura did was make the high end model of the TSX compete with the base model TL. The 3.5L in the TSX is the same as in the TL but the TSX is lighter and I would presume would be faster however the TL does come with more standard features and interior design, and the exhaust look better. I find it weird why you would go with a $37,000 Acura TL as your first choice as where there are better choices such as the award winning and CarandDriver 10Best 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan that will hit 60 in 5.3 sec. But nevertheless here are the Pros/Cons for both cars:

2010 Acura TL 3.7L w/ Technology Package and HPT:
+ All-new 3.7-liter V-6 engine produces 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque courtesy of greater displacement and additional high-performance features like Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC®) on both the intake and exhaust valves, and a special high-flow dual exhaust system. With projected EPA fuel economy ratings of 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, the 3.7L is also targeted to meet California’s stringent CARB LEV II ULEV emissions certification. The pièce de résistance on the Acura TL SH-AWD is now available on the Acura TL for the first time.
+ During spirited cornering, SH-AWD® seamlessly distributes more torque to the outside rear wheel to create a “yaw moment” to help the Acura TL turn in more quickly and precisely – while also continuously apportioning drivetrain torque front to rear and left to right. The result is a remarkably balanced and precise all-wheel-drive performance sedan that excels year-round, not just during inclement weather
+ The list of substantial changes begins with the relocation of frame rails inside (rather than underneath) the vehicle’s floor pan, resulting in a nearly flat body underside with give better safety and performance
+ Further improving ride quality and road-holding are new dual-stage “blow off” style hydraulic suspension dampers, new hydro-compliant bushings (used to mount the transmission and key suspension components) and a new “smart” engine mount design
+ The Acura TL SH-AWD® offers available 19-inch aluminum wheels with aggressive P245/40ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 summer tires for the ultimate Acura TL performance experience
+ An impressive array of premium standard features includes a power moonroof, dual-zone adaptive climate control, 10-way adjustable (8-way power seat with 2-way power lumbar support) driver seat, 8-way adjustable power front passenger seat, and steering-wheel-mounted F1®-style paddle shifters for the Sequential SportShift automatic transmission. An 8-speaker, 276-watt audio system that includes a 6-disc CD changer, AM/FM radio, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth Audio, USB port and AUX jack connectivity, and HandsFreeLink wireless telephone interface are standard
+ The Technology Package includes the Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition™, AcuraLink real-time traffic, AcuraLink weather with Doppler-style radar mapping, an Acura/ELS Surround premium audio system and Keyless Access System with pushbutton ignition. The included Navigation System features a new 8-inch full VGA high-resolution color display for improved visibility
+ Six airbags and a new active head restraint system for the driver and front passenger headrests top the long list of passive safety features built into the new Acura TL
+ The new Acura TL includes sophisticated active safety features including powerful 4-wheel disc brakes (with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), all-season tires and an available SH-AWD system
+ The 2009 Acura TL is assembled in Marysville, Ohio and is covered by a comprehensive 4-year/50,000 mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a 6-year/70,000 mile powertrain limited warranty. Additional benefits of ownership include Acura Total Luxury Care (TLC), which provides free 24-hour roadside assistance, concierge service and trip routing
+ Acura TL employs a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link independent system in back
+ Has impressive 0-60 which in about 5.8 sec
+ Bright HID projector-beam front headlights, pronounced wheel arches, a standard power moonroof and genuine stainless-steel body trim.
+ Featuring Acura’s new signature front grille, body sides defined by strong character lines, sweeping C-pillars and new LED taillights, the 2009 Acura TL is simultaneously Acura and yet wholly unique

Cons:
+ The MPG is not the greatest but what can you expect from a 3.7L Engine
+ The car is quite expensive and there are cars out there with better features

2010 Acura TSX 3.5L Engine w/ Technology Package:
+ Acura TSX 3.5L V6 (280 HP/254 torque) will be equipped with a powerful 3.5-liter engine, exclusive suspension tuning, larger diameter wheels and additional enhancements
+ A sophisticated VTEC valvetrain control and a dual-stage induction system comes standard
+ For maximum performance and efficiency, the engine will be coupled to Acura’s Sequential SportShift automatic transmission, with intelligent features such as Grade Logic Control and Shift Hold Control. If the driver desires, the Sequential SportShift transmission can also be operated manually, via steering-wheel mounted F1-style paddle shifters
+ The new Acura TSX model will feature a state-of-the-art, double-wishbone front and multilink rear suspension system to provide excellent ride, handling and control
+ To generate sportier handling, the V6 model will also use exclusive suspension tuning along with 18-inch split five-spoke aluminum wheels, fit with Michelin Pilot all-season tires
+ The larger wheels and tires will help distinguish this performance- minded TSX, as does the slightly revised front fascia and a V6 badge on the trunk
+ The Acura TSX V6 model will be generously equipped with the latest advancements in safety technology and is anticipated to achieve the highest ratings in both government (NHTSA) and independent (IIHS) crash testing – including garnering IIHS’s TOP SAFETY PICK
+ Like all Acura models, the new TSX will feature an exceptional level of standard equipment, including leather-appointed interior, power moonroof, automatic climate control, a premium seven-speaker sound system with CD, AM/FM tuner, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink , USB port and AUX jack music interface and more
+ Similar to the four-cylinder TSX, the V6 model will be available with the optional Technology Package that includes the Acuralink satellite navigation system with rear-view camera and the Acura/ELS Surround® premium audio system for a top-in-class audio experience
+ Merging crisp, dynamic design with a bold new signature Acura grille, the 2009 Acura TSX is more distinctive and sporty. Due to its greater length and width, wider track, and longer wheelbase
+ The acceleration is quite quick, quicker to 60 than the Acura TL

Cons:
+ Low MPG for a car in that category
+ FWD
+ The car rivals the TL

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

Q: 2010 Acura TL Owners–what has your experience been?
I’m strongly considering a new 2010 TL w/Tech pkg. I don’t see too many of them around (one reason I’m leaning toward it) and I know the look of it is sort of a “love it or hate it” thing. I’m looking for real live owners (read: not salesman) who can give me an objective opinion on their purchase. Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Jury still out? What is the thing you love that you didn’t expect, or the gotcha that you wish you had known about? Also, I’m very curious what people paid for these cars, if any of you feel comfortable sharing that info. Again, I’m not as interested in “My friend said he paid … for his,” or “The dealer said I could have it for … but I went with something else.” If YOU bought this car I’d love to know what YOU think of it and what YOU actually paid. Thanks!

A: It’s a great car.
I love the smiley face on the front.

Q: Can I Put A J37A4 (2010 TL engine) in My 1996 integra , If not can you tell me what other engines I can swap?
The engine was meant for a AWD car just to let u kno

A: ask the manufaturer if the tranny bolts to that motor. if it doesnt try to get the tranny and motor for that 2010 TL. you can make the engine and trans fit in there with a plasmacutter and some custom metal fabrications

Q: 2009-2010 Acura TL SH-AWD Agreement?
The 2009-2010 Acura TL SH-AWD is one of those, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” ordeals. The car looks ugly, but it can grow on you and the features of the car actually are better than most of the competition, especially the way the car drives. Agree?

A: I haven’t driven one, but based on previous Honda’s I have driven I bet this car is great. I agree that maybe you shouldn’t judge it completely by its cover, but the way a car looks is important, even to people like me who enjoy the driving experience more than the visual experience. I love old Hondas that are clean and understated. I really don’t like all the fake chrome and other crap they throw on now. I think they could have done a much better job with the design, but maybe it will grow on me.

Q: 2010 Acura TL SHWD vs 2010 Lexus GS vs 2010Infiniti G?
Compare and tell me what you guys think. Consider them all loaded at the same price…..AWD is a MUST for me!
Importance on reliability, performance, and overall VALUE.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: Monthly Insurance for a 16 year old, if he were to get a G37 Coupe? IS250? IS250c? TL 2010?
How much would it cost? an estimate? I heard grades, colors of the car, and other things like that affect the insurance cost? Well if it does, he gets 4.0 and he wants a Black. We live in CA. And our insurance company is Farmers, but I would just want a monthly insurance cost. thank you!

A: Color of the car is irrelevant, and grades don’t affect it much.

For a brand new car, with “full coverage”, expect to pay around $1,000 a month, for a brand new driver. Maybe a lot more.

Calvin, if your last name isn’t Klein, it’s probably going to be unaffordable.

Q: 2009-2010 Acura TL’s?
Do any of you think there will be any used Acura TL’s for sale at a cheaper price then what they are now??? Maybe around $25,000 to $30,000???

A: No way, it’s too new.

Q: 2010 Acura TL AWD 6spd, or 2010 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro manual?
Looking for a more comfortable sporty AWD sedan to replace my IS 250 AWD (absolutely poor financial mistake). Which one would you choose? AWD is a must. The IS is just too cramped and small inside; my entire right side of my body aches/hurts from the crappy cramped interior.

Acura has a history of good reliability. Audi’s reliability in the past has been shaky, but Audi’s reliability on B7/B8 have improved greatly (at least according to Consumer Reports and True Delta). I’ve always had Japanese cars in the past, but I’m not too fond of the new Acura designs. Forget Lexus, I’m not buying Lexus ever. And the Infiniti G37 seems too cheaply made with a tight interior like the IS.

The 2009/10 TL’s exterior looks a little bit “out there” and just seems too long with odd angles/lines; interior is nice though, and performance with the 6spd manual seems to be excellent according to various magazine previews. The new A4s seem very well designed and executed, good gas mileage, huge trunk, decent rear space, and fits me like a glove; plus the quattro system has a good hx of snow perfomance.

Which one would you choose, if any?

A: Audi A4-

the A4 has always undoubtly been one of my favorite cars- it’s classy, sporty, and fun to drive, and it’s interior is roomy and top notch when it comes to it’s mix of classy technology and it’s easy to use, unlike the BMW iDrive systems.

Audi’s did have problems earlier on in the late 90’s, but 2004 and up they’re pretty reliable, and have high resale values.

As for Acura- their new design is unforgivable. I have given up ALl respect i’ve had from them- they’re simply too ugly to be even compared to more elegantly styled competition.

Q: What’s a better new car choice? 2010 Nissan Maxima SV w/ Premium Pckg./Tech (Navi) or 2010 Acura TL 3.5 TECH?
I’m looking to buy one of these cars in the Chicago area in the next few months. Both are about $39,500 sticker price. The Maxima is faster, gets a little better mileage and is much better looking (exterior). The Acura TL has a much nicer interior, longer warranty and is more reliable. Thanks.
I’ve eliminated cars such as the Infiniti G37, Lexus IS250, BMW 3 series, Audi A4 and MB C series because I’m 6′3″ and I want a midsize car to comfortably hold me and my tall friends. Also, since I live in the snow belt, I won’t buy a rear-wheel drive car. I can’t go above $40K and don’t want a used car. Ihate the looks of the Accord sedan V6 and find the front seats very uncomfortable. The Altima leaves me flat. The 2010 Subaru Legacy is dull, too. The Mazda 6 has questionable reliability.

A: Well, you pick two interesting cars to consider when you are buying a car since you are paying close to $40,000 for basically a Front-Wheel drive car with a high output engine. Before any detail about the cars are listed, you should really consider the 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan or 2010 Lexus IS350. You can get both with a Navigation and combine them with another package. The Nissan Maxima was built to be a Sport Sedan that is easy-to-drive and offers performance that many seek in a car. Unfortunately, they made the car FWD. You may ask what is so bad about FWD? FWD gives you subpar acceleration and handling. Lets put it this way, would you ride a bike pedaling the back wheels or front wheels? The Nissan Maxima does offer a fantastic engine but it is not much faster than the Acura TL. Everything the Nissan Maxima offers, the TL offers. The Acura TL has a higher resale value, the interior is made to suit everyone, there sound system is just fantastic, and it is an Acura. Though Nissan is known for major performance in their cars, they have really went the opposite way in the Nissan Maxima. This part of the answer may not give you your deciding choice so here are some Pros/Cons for the car:

2010 Acura TL 3.5L w/ Technology Package:
Pros:
+ All-new 3.5-liter V-6engine produces 280-hp, 3.5-liter, 260 ft-lb of torque courtesy of greater displacement and additional high-performance features like Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) on both the intake and exhaust valves, and a special high-flow dual exhaust system. With projected EPA fuel economy ratings of 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, the 3.5L is also targeted to meet California’s stringent CARB LEV II ULEV emissions certification. The pièce de résistance on the Acura TL SH-AWD is now available on the Acura TL for the first time.
+ 5-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters and Grade Logic Control gives you the fuel economy you need and performance you need
+
+ The list of substantial changes begins with the relocation of frame rails inside (rather than underneath) the vehicle’s floor pan, resulting in a nearly flat body underside with give better safety and performance
+ Has impressive 0-60 which in about 6.3 sec
+ Bright HID projector-beam front headlights, pronounced wheel arches, a standard power moonroof and genuine stainless-steel body trim.
+ Featuring Acura’s new signature front grille, body sides defined by strong character lines, sweeping C-pillars and new LED taillights, the 2009 Acura TL is simultaneously Acura and yet wholly unique

Cons:
+ The MPG is not the greatest but what can you expect from a 3.5L engine
+ The car is quite expensive and there are cars out there with better features such as the RWD Infiniti G37 Sedan that will hit 60 in 5.6 seconds.

2010 Nissan Maxima SV w/ Premium Pacage & Tech Package:
Pros:
+ Inspired by the concurrent top secret development of the 2009 Nissan GT-R supercar, they threw away positioning words like “conservative” and “balanced” and concentrated instead on new concepts like “addictive performance,” “striking,” “commanding” and “powerful.”
+ The exterior design theme for the new Maxima is “Liquid Motion” – focusing on the flow of its powerful and beautiful surfaces, like the undulation of a wave. The look starts with Maxima’s aggressive stance and powerful fender volume, which is not unlike many exotic sports cars on the market today. This deeply sculpted body/fender treatment is seldom used for mass market vehicles because of the engineering and manufacturing complexity required to physically accomplish it. Maxima’s new stance is created by a slight reduction in wheelbase and overall length, along with a wider front and rear track
+ At the rear, Maxima features a new 12-LED L-shaped taillight design, with a pair of side marker bulbs for added visibility during night driving
+ The 2009 Nissan Maxima’s 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 is now rated at 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque (estimated), increases of 35 horsepower and 9 lb-ft of torque over the 2008 Maxima
+ In refining the award-winning VQ-series V6 for use in the new Maxima, engine development engineers focused on three areas – increasing air intake, increasing fuel burn efficiency and lowering exhaust backpressure
+ All 2009 Nissan Maximas come equipped with a revised Xtronic CVT™ with manual mode, tuned specifically for Maxima’s sporty driving character. The Maxima development team finessed the previous CVT design to improve responsiveness and strike a balance between sport and comfort, ultimately creating a transmission that provides a true synergy between engine and transmission, along with smooth, responsive and efficient operation
+ For drivers seeking the utmost in vehicle control, a new “Ds mode” (drive sport) has been added to the CVT for 2009. “Ds mode” is an electronic control logic, that enhances sport driving through increased acceleration feel with higher engine revolutions, automatic engine braking and maintaining engine speed during cornering
+ Add the available Premium Package to the 3.5 SV for: Dual Panel Moonroof with power retractable sunshades, rear-window power sunshade, rear-seat air conditioning and audio controls, premium mood lighting, 7.0″ VGA color display with RearView Monitor, 2 GB Music Box flash drive, USB connectivity and eucalyptus wood-tone trim
+ 8way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, Digital Bose® audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer are among the features you get.

Cons:
+ FWD
+ It may be marketed as a performance sedan but a Honda Accord EX-L V6 has almost the same 0-60 time.
+ The car is way too expensive and gives you very little
+ Car is awkwardly shaped

It would be a good decision to look into other sedan like the Infiniti G37, Lexus IS350 or ES350, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class, etc..

Q: 2010 camero or 2005 acura tl?
I need someone’s opinion…I’m a 20 year old female and i’m about to get another car..either 2010 black v6 camero (300 horsepower) or 2005 acura tl (nice luxury car…quick 250hp)…the catch is that I have to wait an extra 3 months to get the camero…so I don’t know if I’m willing to wait…the car is bad ass now but soon I feel like everyone’s going to have one…so need your opinion thanks
CAMARO…THERE YOU HAPPY? I SPELT IT RIGHT AND I PROBABLY KNOW MORE ABOUT CARS THAN YOU…N IM A GIRL
i have a mustang gt right now manual transmission now enjoy driving it

A: i think the Acura would suit you better. i would choose the Camaro but im not a girl. and i would get V8 Camaro

Q: 2009 Acura TL or 2010 Toyota Camry SE?
We can’t decide on what to buy. If you’ve own these cars please help. We got a price for 2009 Acura TL w/ tech package out the door at $37,000. The Camry has all options in it that Toyota provides and is $3k down less then the Acura and $50 a month different. We can afford either or but don’t know which car. The Camry has a better look interior and exterior then the Acura but the Acura has some amazing features and is top of the line and better resale value and warranties..

A: I would go with the TL, but that’s just me. I don’t like cars that are super super common, not saying the TL isn’t but I probably see 4 camrys for every 1 TL, I just don’t enjoy having a car everyone has.

On the other hand if you want to save money just go with the Camry, also note that the Acura TL uses premium, which will cost you a few thousand more a year.

Q: what would win in a race toyota camry 2010 or acura tl 2000?
hey what would win in a race toyota camry 10 or a acura tl?

A: i would have to say the acura

Q: New 2010 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 vs. Used 2007 Acura TL?
I am trying to pick one of the two for my next ride but I can’t seem to decide which one to get. They have identical engines and everything, they’re prices are about the same, only difference is one’s a luxury sedan and the other’s a coupe. I don’t have a family so I don’t have many people to drive around so I feel like a coupe could be nice. However, I really like Acura’s interior and look. I’m hesitating on the TL also because I can only afford buying it used so I am a bit paranoid about hidden defects and how the previous owner treated the car. I need some help please, any suggestions or pros and cons of both cars? Thanks in advance.

A: Acura.

Case closed.

Q: A new 2010 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 or a used 2007 Acura TL?
Which one is a better buy?
The price for a new Accord Coupe EX-L V6 is around $30K MSRP

I’ll try to answer any questions you may have along the way, thanks in advance.
Also, the TL I’m looking at as around 30K miles on it and the price is $23K

A: I would get the Accord and here’s why.

1. Accord and TL are virtually identical since the latter uses the same chassis and engine. But the TL is based on the previous gen Accord (2003-7). So the Accord has more power, better styling and latest technologies.

2. New Hondas come with better warranty than a used Acura. TL warranty will expire sooner than a brand new Accord.

3. The biggest mistake shoppers make is that they look at the MSRP of new cars and automatically believe they cant afford it. Had they done some research they would know yoi can get $5000+ discount on top of the line Accord.

Q: acura tl??
do the acura tl “els” premium audio systems, distort badly.. or do they sound really good?

A: Only if you have hearing problems.

Q: Acura TL??
I am looking to purchase a used car. I was sold on a 2003 TL, but now after doing extensive research, have learned about the transmission issue. I would LOVE to buy an 04, but it’s just not in the budget. I know Acura covers them up to 100k miles, but do they actually fix the issue or put a bandage on it? Also, was this just a small % of the cars of the production line? I have to go back to the drawing board if this is a big issue. I love cars and really want to get something used, but nice. My budget is 16-18k. Was thinking (if not the TL) 04-05 Volvo S60, Infiniti I35 (if i can find one), was thinking Audi A4, but don’t think I could sleep with the reliability issues I hear about. Any others??? I also was thinking about an 03 Lexus ES 300, but getting such an old vehicle bothers me, should it? All thoughts, experience, advice would be great. I have to turn in my company car next week as I’m switching jobs. Thanks a lot in advance.

A: YOU CAN ALSO GET FREE INFORMATION BY CALLING THE MANUFACTURER AND ASKING THEM. ALL YOU WILL NEED TO TELL THEM IS THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING THE VEHICLE GIVE THEN THE VIN AND THEY WILL PULL EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE ON FILE THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED.

ALSO REMEMBER THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS ANYWHERE NEAR A COASTLINE HAVE IT INSPECTED FOR FLOODING, I HAVE SEEN TOO MANY OF THESE VEHICLE GET PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE THEY WERE CLEANED UP VERY GOOD AND THE CUSTOMER GOT THE RAW END OF THE DEAL.

Q: How many miles should a brand new Acura TL have when it comes from the factory?
Im buying a new Acura TL and i was wondering how many miles an Acura tl has when it comes into the dealers lot. In other words, when its coming from the factory.

A: I used to work for a Honda-Acura dealership. When they would come off the truck, the most I ever saw one have on it was 2 miles. That is the most that any new car should have on it.

Q: How many miles should an Acura TL have if it has not been test drove by anyone?
Im buying a new Acura tl and the guy says that the car already has 31 miles. Is this how it should be if it has not been test drove by anyone?

A: For a new car straight from the port to a dealership after PDI it should not have more then 10 miles.
The Acura HAS been test driven or used for a few lunch runs.
Its YOUR new car, be picky. No more then 10 miles and in the color you want and dont let them change your mind or DX (dealer exchange) one in for you because lot attendents are brutal on cars.

Q: Does anyone know when Acura TL will redesign its model completely?
I’m planning to buy a car in two years when I can drive. I really like the TL model the way it is now… does anyone know when Acura’s gonna redesign the whole thing?

A: The 2009 redesigned model will probably be out in late 2008. Expect 300 hp and AWD… Some spied pictures – http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiasts/Spy_Shots_and_Future_Cars/2009_Acura_TL_Spied.S178.A13269.html?DID=RSS

http://www.leftlanenews.com/acura-tl-spy.html

Q: How do I make my Acura TL 1999 blow more air?
I have a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL and I’m just wondering how I can make the air conditioner blow more air. It feels like nothing is coming out and takes 30 minutes for the car to heat/cool. I had a mechanic test it and he said it’s producing the correct temperature and insists there’s nothing wrong, but it doesn’t blow enough air!

A: this car has a cabin air filter, for the air conditioner, that needs to be changed..not the air filter for the engine – it is a different filter.

Q: Do I need any special tools to change my oil in a 2008 Acura TL?
I just bought a 2008 Acura TL last December. I already had my first oil change at 6k miles. But now I want to switch to synthetic and start doing my own oil changes.

Do I need any special “Acura tailored” tools for an Acura TL in order to change my own oil and oil filter?

A: First – most luxury line cars have bumper to bumper warranty -that includes the oil change (free).

===
If you want to change your own oil, basically you will need

(1) jacks
(2) jack stands
(3) oil filter wrench
(4) hand tools (wrench)
(5) pan to catch oil

http://www.ehow.com/video_11_change-motor-oil.html
http://www.greasegorilla.com/oilchange.asp.htm
===
they have pans that you can catch oil AND carry it back to the store to dump the used oil (without spilling). Get the large size as it is difficult to get the oil to flow out just into the pan opening.

If you don’t have hand tools, I suggest getting Sears Craftsman brand. They are solid like rock. And if they EVER break, just take it back and they will give you a replacement tool – on the spot. That way you can continue with the oil change (repair).

Sears also sells Jack & Jack stands. You can get their lowest price version for the home use.

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950138000P?mv=rr

I would wait for a sale on their hand tools. They have sales almost every month. I got the 154/155 piece set for $99. The set does NOT include filter tool – but that’s pretty cheap.

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/s_10153_12605_Automotive_Tools+%26+Equipment_Mechanics+Tool+Sets#viewItems=80&pageNum=1&sortOption=PRICE_LOW_TO_HIGH&&filter=Brand|Craftsman&lastFilter=Brand

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00935154000P?vName=Automotive&cName=Tools+%26+Equipment&sName=Mechanics+Tool+Sets

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10153_12605?keyword=oil+filter&gobutton.x=0&gobutton.y=0&gobutton=find#viewItems=20&pageNum=1&sortOption=PRICE_LOW_TO_HIGH

Get the cheap oil filter tool – they are good enough for once in a while use.
===
Just a FYI -

There are 4 most important maintenance items in your engine

(1) engine oil (3k – 5K miles) – even with a full Synthetic
(2) tranny oil (30K miles)
(3) coolant (3 years)
(4) timing belt (60K miles)

Just keep those maintenance and your engine and tranny will be problem free. I have a 94 Civic with 187K miles and the engine + tranny + suspension runs like new. I get 41 MPG (doing 72 MPH). I can get even better MPG doing 55.

Good maintenance pays off.

Good Luck…

P.S. Don’t use the oil filter tool to tighten the oil filter. Just use your firm grip. Don’t over tighten your drain plug. It does NOT hold anything but just block the oil.

Q: How much would it cost to repair a timing belt on a 99 Acura TL?
What would be the cost for a timing belt and labor for a 99 Acura TL?! Secondly, what would be the cost to repair timing belt, timing belt tensioner, crank and cam seals, oil change, degrease motor and 5 motor mounts? Thanks for all answers.

A: Type “repairpal.com” on your computer. It is a free website that will give local (according to the zip code you fill in) costs (parts and labor) to repair your vehicle. They cover the most popular and common things like timming belts.

Q: How to Setup the Wireless Remote for the 04 Acura TL?
I just bought this new wireless remote (techinically not “new” just a basic wireless remote), and I was wondering, if someone can explain to me how to synchronize the wireless remote to my 2004 Acura TL?

Thank you.

A: Just get the dealer to do it.

After they’re done, tell them to wash your car too. I swear the only good thing about Acura dealerships is that they wash your car after every simple thing.

Q: what if I used regular unleaded(87) for my Acura TL instead of higher according to manufacturer?
So recently i bought an Acura TL, and i had just found out by reading the manual that it “recommends” using premium gasoline . what would happen if i already filled my tank with regular unleaded gas? will it damage my vehicle?

A: No, you will just loose a small amount of HP.

Q: How much would it cost to repair a dent the size of a nickel on an Acura TL?
I have a 2006 Acura TL and the color is Anthracite Metallic which is a dark grey color. On the Front Right Quarter Panel, there is a dent which looks like it was shot with a bullet but the bullet didnt go through the metal. Its diameter is the size of a penny.
How much in general would it cost if I were to bring it to a bodyshop and have them repair it with that powder stuff like joint compound and spray it.
Has anyone repaired a dent that size before? How much did it cost you?

A: paintless dent removal ask a detail shop in your area they will know the # to call there about 20-30 $ per dent( no repaint or bondo) hope this will help.

Q: How well does the acura tl’s navigation system voice command work?
I am very interested in the effectiveness of the voice commands in the acura tl

A: It’s an awesome feature. However, you have to spend some time learning the correct commands and the proper screens for the commands if you want to use it effectively. The only negative I’ve found with it is that the fan can’t be up too high, or else your commands won’t be understood. I love being able to change climate and stereo with voice commands in addition to navigation commands.
In my opinion, when I bought my 2005 TL w/nav, it was by far the best nav system available.

Q: How can I install a radar detector cord in the roof of a 2004 Acura TL?
I am going to be purchasing a 2004 Acura TL, hopefully soon. I test drove one in which the previous owner had installed a radar detector cord through the roof, so that he could mount the detector next to the rearview mirror. I’m not purchasing that particular car. Should I do this installation myself? Or, where can I have it done? Any of you ever done this before? Thanks. Also, and other customizations that you would reccommend for this car?

A: take it to someone who knows what they’re doing. (stereo installers, mod installers).

Q: Is it possible to install a navigation system on a 2004 Acura TL?
Can a navigation system be installed on a 2004 Acura TL? I know some do have navigation, but could one be installed in a non-navi TL? Are there better navi systems than Acura’s factory system? Thanks.
I don’t want a navigation system to put on the dash of my car, I want it where the radio is.

A: Well a navigation system can be installed on any car. Do you want indash or portable.

Q: How can I make my Acura TL 2002 fog lights into HID lights to match my blue-ish looking HID headlights?
Ok, I know very little about cars and what I’m trying to find out is where I can find some kits to look at that will change my Acura TL 2002 fog lights into HID’s that match the headlights. Can anyone help me out?

A: you can get a conversion kit for your fog lights, if the fog lights are part of the headlight assembly the light bulbs are 9006 bulb, if the fog lights are separate for the head light assembly and on the bottom of the bumper it should be an H8 bulb . i recommend getting a a digital slim ballast kit for your car its easier to install.

Q: What is the major difference between a 2010 VW Passat and a 2010 Audi A4?
Hello folks. I wanted to see if anyone could tell me the “significant” differences between a 2010 VW Passat and a 2010 Audi A4 (non quattro). I am in the market for a new car and I am considering the the A4 but several people have mentioned that it is just a very luxurious sporty Passat and even has the same engine. Is this true? Can someone elaborate if possible?

A: I’d go for an audi if the price difference isn’t that great. The major difference is in handling and smoother ride. Specially if you intend to go on long trips, the audi is more comfortable after a long trip and less tiring. I cannot tell if its the smoother suspension, seats, or what. Thats my opinion.

Q: Where can I purchase 2010 Audi A4 LED Headlights?
I am purchasing a used 2010 Audi A4, that was a base-model and would like to upgrade the headlights and tailslight to the newer ones with the LED daytime running lights. Where can I purchase these from besides buying them directly from Audi?

A: Amazon has the 2010 Audi A4 LED Headlights, and taillights websites below.

Q: What car should I buy, a 2010 Mercedes GLK or 2010 Audi A4?
What is a better bang for your buck?
Better for winter?
Are Mercedes more expensive to maintain then Audi’s, or is it more or less the same?
Thank you

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: What is better on Gas the 2010 cadillac CTS sedan or the 2010 Audi A4?
im and getting my license soon and i was wondering which is better on gas i have to have a 5 star safety rated car and they both are i like the look of the A4 and it costs about 4 thousand less than the ccts but which is better on gas i would be driving mostly in the city

A: Obviously the A4. Its a four banger.

Q: Should I get a certified used 2007 Audi S4 or a new 2010 Audi A4?
My price range accommodates either choice. I would prefer the performance of the S4, but it is less fuel efficient.

A: The S4. The fuel efficiency on the S4 is phenomenal, especially for all the power. You really won’t find too much of a difference between them when it comes to fuel efficiency.
2007 S4s aren’t turbo anymore, so as long as you aren’t stomping on the accelerator all the time it will be fine. I drive the bi-turbo generation and it’s great on gas.

Repairs on the S4 aren’t too bad – especially if you are comparing it to the newer Audis. As long as you keep up with the regular maintenance (including things like the timing belt/water pump, spark plugs, etc.) the car should last you for a decade! lol

Q: What Is The Bulb Size Of The Day Time Running Lights On A 2010 Audi A4 WITHOUT HID/LED’s?
I want to replace the crappy halogen daytime running lights and low beams to HID conversions but I cant find the bulb size of the day time lights.

help!

A: you need some kit to replace the led lights ,while the light is easily available ,just log on google to search ,

Q: Have 2010 Audi A4. Just had to drive it through deep water, but made it home ok. Could there be damage?
I know you’re not supposed to drive through deep water, but it’s New Orleans and there is NO way around the water. My car didn’t stall out, and the brakes were still working fine. However, the water was over the bottom of my doors (although none got in). I plan to let it dry out all day tomorrow. Is it possible I still damaged the car?

A: if you made it thru then you should be fine. everything in the car is designed to withstand moisture, engine bay and underbody. the only thing to be carefull about deep water, especially if deep enough to submerge the exhaust is to keep constant throtle so that the water doesnt go into it. the other caution is to not splash too much that it goes into the engine thru the intake and cause hydrolocking. water doesnt compress like gas and air.

Q: When does the 2010 Audi A4 come out?
I’m looking to buying the sedan but I don’t like last years model. From the pictures, I like the new model. As specific as possible to when it comes out is preferred. Also, what are some other cars that are around that quality that I can also look at in case it doesn’t come out in time?

A: the 2009 was the most recent redesign of the model. It is the B8 series. the 2010 a4 will look identical, but probly have a few minor tweaks(maybe in the audi mms system or smaller things like that). Sorry man, if you don’t like the ’09s, you’re not gonna like the 2010s

Q: Is 2010 audi A4 worth buying?
I recently test drove 2010 audi A4 and bmw 328xi. Even though I preferred A4’s exterior, I felt like the feel and power of 328xi are far superior to that of A4… is A4 really worth buying?

A: Any new car purchase is a bad idea financially because you take the brunt of the depreciation hit. That said, this choice is going to come down to your personal preference and it’s a tough choice indeed where these two cars are concerned.. In general Audi’s have always come to market a bit “detuned” compared to their BMW counterparts and you can bring it up to level with a few aftermarket parts. However, if you feel the BMW feel and power are far superior and you really question if the Audi is worth buying, buy the BMW because that’s the way you are leaning right now.

Q: Which should i buy, a 2010 Audi A4 Quattro, or a 2010 Lexus IS250 AWD?
I want to lease an AWD car, and these both look like good cars, the Lexus is a little cheaper, but i prefer the look of the Audi. I’m not a car guy so please fill me in on why I should get one over the other.

Thanks!

A: 333 hp? What A4 are you driving? Even a $50K A6 Quattro Turbo is only 300 hp!!!

An A4 Quattro has 211 horsepower, on par with the Lexus. The Audi is a 4 cylinder though (Lexus is a 6), and a little noisier in my opinion.

I personally like the look, feel and drive of the Lexus – which is why I bought one – but I looked at an A4 too. These are both good cars, choose what you personally like best.

Q: K&N Air Filter On 2010 Audi A4 2.0T- + Results?
I have a 2010 audi a4 2.0t quattro and I wanted to know if a kn air filter will add any performance gains or “throatier” sound when upgrading from stock filter?

thanks!

A: To get that “throatier” sound- that is from exhaust, i.e. a catback-go on Audizine.com, or Audiforums.com, and you will get some audio and video files that demonstrate what can happen when certain exhausts are installed. Performance gains are slight, but from the initial cost outlay of the K&N, and if you plan on keeping the car for four or five years, its ideal.

Q: Compare 2009 vs. 2010 Audi A4?
What are the major differences between a 2009 and a 2010 Audi A4 Avant?

A: Its just newer, but not much difference. You’ll pay extra for a 2010.

Q: 2010 Altima and 2010 Audi A4?
Hello everyone,
Our family has decided to purchase a new vehicle, since our hold 4-runner is just too fuel consuming, and well, doesn’t run as well as it used to. We currently have 2 cars in mind, the 2 door Nissan Altima (2010 model), and the 4 door Audi A4. The Audi, with basic features will cost us around 31k. The Altima on the other hand will be around 29k, this is with the upgrades needed to match the Audi’s basic features (leather is a must, we all believe it is more comfortable, but Navi isn’t necessary). My question is, how would you rate the following on both the Altima and A4 -The only thing keeping us from getting the A4 is the fact that German cars are a tad pricey to repair, when need be-
1. Price to repair, when needed.
2. Durability (which will last longer, and break down less/have less problems).
3. Price to Quality (basically, is it worth the price).
4. Price in the long run (APR, maintenance, etc)
5. Maintenance in general (oil changes, etc).
6 Finally, fuel (price spent on fuel, MPG’s, ect).
I appreciate all the help!

A: These are my opinions, but they are based on cars I have owned and cars my friends, coworkers and associates own or have owned.

1) Nissan is generally a lot better for repair cost. German cars, especially the upmarket ones (Audi, BMW, Benz) tend to be some of the most expensive, even for routine maintenance.

2) IMO, the Nissan will last longer given the same type of maintenance.

3) The Audi will probably hold its value better than the Altima.

4) My guess is that the Altima will give you a lot less trouble long-term. Every car company has a few really bad cars mixed in, but Nissan tends to have good reliability. Audi is a more mixed bag

5) Oil changes can be the same price at some shops. You can call around, but Nissan dealer service will likely be cheaper than Audi dealer service. Things like clutches and brakes will be more expensive on the Audi. One thing to keep in mind is that an Audi has a timing belt and the Nissan has a timing chain, designed to last the life of the car.

6) A 2.5L Altima will get slightly better mpg than the other options. I think the 3.5L Altima CVT is about the same as an AT Audi A4. The Altima V6 also has about 60 hp more, but is front wheel drive instead of AWD.

There have been some oil consumption issues with the nissan 3.5L engine. Somewhat rare and maybe it doesn’t happen now. Otherwise, the VQ engines are considered one of the best V6s ever made.

Honestly, I think the Audi looks better and probably is more luxurious. However, I would buy the Altima unless you really need the AWD. It would be cheaper to operate over the longer term and a well equipped Altima is a very nice car.

Q: What Lease Deals Could I Get on 2010 Audi A4?
Hi, I live in New Jersey and I am looking for a good lease deal on a new 2010 Audi A4 or a new 2009 Infiniti G37x with 0$ down for 36 months.

The Audi A4 would be 2.0L Quattro and have the Prestige Package with wood trim and Audi Drive Select. The price given on the Audi website is 46,500$.

The Infiniti G37x would be fully loaded (Premium and Navigation Package), along with illuminated kick plates. The price given on the Infiniti website is about 42,200$.

My friend paid 520$/month for 36 months with 0$ down on a fully loaded 2009 Lexus IS250 AWD. The price for that is 40,400$ on the Lexus website. He bargained the price down a good amount (the dealer wanted him to pay 600) so please assume I will do the same for my car.

Is it possible to get a similar deal?

I would also appreciate if someone could give me an estimate for the Audi A4 without the Drive Select (Price: 42,000$ according to website).

The lease calculators online were not helpful because they gave estimates very different than what my friend payed for his Lexus. They did seem to show that the Infiniti has much more reasonable lease prices than Audi (any particular reason?). I’m not sure of the other lease factors but if anyone has a general idea that would be great!

Thanks a lot!
PS: My credit score is very good (imagine similar to my friend with the Lexus). Also, if you know which car is more likely to get a better deal, please let me know. Thanks.
The nearby Audi dealerships have no Audi’s similar to the build I want. This means I would have to specially order it from another dealership or from the plant. That usually makes the price harder to bargain. The Infiniti dealerships however have many G37’s in stock built the way I like.

A: expect to pay 700-1200 a month……..and ur gonna have to talk to dealer to get specifics……but as of yet the website prices have been lower than actual retail prices……and unless ur willing to put something down u will need to have spotless credit to get under 600 a month on either car……

Q: best price for a 2010 audi a4?
I’m looking for a new 2010 audi a4 that comes with auto transmission, everything else can be standard. Pref black.

I know the msrp is $31,000 what is the BEST price I can negotiate? Some people told me $27 or $28,000 what do I need to know to get the best deal. Does it help if I wait until Dec?

my dealer is the #1 audi dealer in the nation (prestige audi)

can a high ranking dealership offer a better deal because they move the most vehicles vs. those smaller dealerships struggling to meet their quotas who are in a worse position to make a profit..???

A: This really doesn’t matter on how many vehicles they move – if they are a large volume seller it’s likely that they will give you the best deal because they could probably care less about getting back big margins on every sale…but this isn’t always the case.

For your best deal what you should do is go to the dealer you are most comfortable with and ask them for their best price (GET IT IN WRITING!!!!!!!!) then go to another Audi dealer and show them the price you can get from the first dealer ask them to beat it…usually you can just call around and they may want you to fax the written price over so they can see it for themselves to make sure…

Basically play them off each other for the best deal…It’s unlikely that you’ll save $4000 on a $30000 vehicle…that’s more than 10% of the price – usually mark up on a new vehicle can be anywhere from about 1% – 10% (this is dealer mark up)
