Q: What’s the difference between the chevy camaro LS and the chevy camaro SS?
I really like the chevy camaro but I’m not sure the difference between the LS and the SS?
I really like the 2010 chevy camaro but I’m not sure the difference between the LS and the SS?

A: The SS is sportier. Check out the details here:

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Spec_Glance.aspx?year=2010&make=Chevrolet&model=Camaro&trimid=-1

This tells you every detail you need to know, including mpg difference, interior features such as leather wrapped steering wheel, and external features such as fog lights (which do not come on an LS).

Q: What does the Chevy Camaro SS have that the Z28 doesn’t?
I’m looking at a 2000-2002 Camaro, but are there many big differences?

A: The base Z28 has 305 HP and the SS has 320 HP. The SS has SLP exhaust, SLP Ram Air Hood, SLP SS wing, SS wheels 17″, and different badging. The SS in appearance is extremely noticeable in it exterior differences. In the basics they are the same car, the high flowing exhaust and ram air give it the extra 15HP over the base model. These are the only true differences. Buy a hood, wing, exhaust, rims and badging for the exteior, inteior and some floor mats you will have the same thing. However, the SS is an SLP car and has the decals proving originality on the end of each door. Showing the options, and manufacturing date and number in which it was made. In my opinion the SS is more collectable and prefered. However, if im looking for a car to drive, race or play with I would get the base model Z28 and make changes.

Q: How much would a 1969 Chevy camaro SS cost?
Im looking to buy one, I live in california, San Bernardino.
I have NO clue how much they would be, and if you could give me an idea where i could get one, ’cause the car dealerships near me dont sell camaros at all.
Thanks yooo

A: well, it depends on the condition of the car, if the car is solid, if the car is all original. This meaning the engine and body VIN #’s match. I would say a good one would cost between $30,000 to $70,000 bucks, so make sure have a good chuck a change if you want original. Also, there is the option that people make clones, replicas and kits so it would bring the price of the car down a lot.

Q: Would it be okay to have a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS as my first car?
just wondering…
It’s my first car,not first vehicle.

A: Going by your additional details, I assume you are used to trucks. You will like the power, but there is little interior room (you will be very uncomfortable if you are over 5′10″), and the blind spots are horrible. Still, it would be a good first car if you are used to powerful trucks.

Q: what are some cool things to add to a 2000 chevy camaro ss ls1?
just got her and wanna add some things

like sound?
performance?
blahh blahh

A: Remove the gas cap and put it on a GT Mustang and you’re ready to go.

Q: Wut Price will the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS or LT have with the RS Appearance package?
The 2010 Camaro with RS appearance package! SS or LT

A: listen pal, are you stupid or what- if gm goes bankrupt & the chances are high, there will be no 2010 ss package.
if gm does survive for sure there will be no muscle car in the gm line-up and there will be no after market equipment manufacturers making performance parts for a 2010 camaro………better start thinking about other options pal.

Q: is there a difference between a chevy camaro SS front end and a base line model?

A: Well, if its an SS vs. Z28, the 90s to 02s are slightly different, google z28 and SS pics it works quite well, basicly its a mixed answer, the rear is different too.

Q: 2001 Chevy Camaro SS?
i am 18 and looking at a 2001 chevy camaro SS with the 325-hp version of the V-8 its a manual. I would like to know how much it would cost a year to own the vechical, if you have a 2001 camaro SS and if you dont mind telling me how much you pay for it a year or month for the car, just so i know if i can afford it. Thank You!

A: as the owner of a daily driven 98 trans am, i must say that these cars (98-02 ls1 fbodies) are bulletproof. ive owned my fbody for 2 years and basically only done basic maintenance such as tires, brakes, fluid changes, etc. parts are easy to come by and relatively cheap IMO. if cars are not your expertise, have a friend of trusted mechanic take a look at it

only thing you need to be worried about is insurance costs at your age. just in basic maintenance alone, with no performance upgrades, the only money i put into it is $150 of gas per month and another $160 for insurance. do your basic maintenance following the owners manual and the car should last 150k+ miles

ps- these cars are $$ hogs if you catch the modding bug. i spent thousands on performance upgrades; clutch, head swap, full exhaust, full intake, performance rotor’s and pads, performance tires, etc.

Q: What will be the starting price of the new 2009 Chevy Camaro SS?

A: It hasn’t been publicized yet, but I bet it will be at least $35,000.

Q: is the 2010 chevy camaro ss a good car and worth buying?
this is mostly to the people who have gotten one please answer. i would like to know from the people who have one whether it was worth buying it or not, im thinking of getting one and not sure if i should or not. im really in love with this car, but would like to know from a person who has had one the pros and cons. thank you

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: Mustang Saleen V.S Dodge Challenger SRT V.S. 2010 Chevy Camaro SS?
Mustang Saleen V.S Dodge Challenger SRT V.S. 2010 Chevy Camaro SS
Which on is Better?
Which one Would you Pick ?
And Why..

A: its not a questions of whats better its more of preference question,i personally like the challenger, but its is over weight, the mustang and the camaro both have it beat on weight and horsepower, but they don’t have the styling that new challenger does,i think in time though the challenger will improve over what it is now,for nw though id still choose a challenger, because they wasn’t around for many years and the camaro and the mustang has always been around,i have to admit though the new camaro looks really good, good luck.

Q: what is the estimate price for a chevy camaro ss (year 2000 or up)?
and any cars that have more than 320 horsepower that are less than $12,000.except for a mustang.

A: First off, good choice. I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and love it. I paid $6,500 for mine but it came with a few cosmetic defects, hence the discount. Most I see are anywhere in between $8,000 and $15,000 depending on the condition and options. Hope this helps.

Q: how fast can a 1969 chevy camaro ss go?
my dumb brother ask me to ask this question. tell me if hes dumb or not.the boy wants a answer
and how fast will a 67 gt 500 mustang go with biggest motor

A: 155-160 mph

A car that old wasn’t meant for speed, more… Acceleration, not like you’d ever need to go that fast anyways. if you want to push it, im sure u could replace the engine or bore out the cylinders and redo the transmission, etc… to get it to go faster…

Q: whch one is better 2010 dodge challenger srt8 or 2010 chevy camaro ss?
include evidence facts that proves which one is better.

A: their both junk,,

Q: my dream car is ‘69 chevy camaro ss..so i have some questions..?
I’ve been checking online and I seen some dinjy and in need of a paint job and all..and also ones that were completely done up with nice interior and exterior..as well as nice engines. The prices ranged from 10,000 all the way to 1,000,000. I understand the expense since its a classic..being from ‘69. Anyway I want to pick up one..old, dirty..in need of major repair..what do you think will be the average cost of fixing it up with leather interior, a paint job and a nice engine?? Also how much gas does it “guzzle”?? I did read up on the ‘69 chevy camaro ss but I’m looking for all the info I can get. Thx.

A: well.. a 69 is a good choice i however like the 67 and 68 better.. but anyways.. the biggest question is will you have a secondary vehicle.. because it is so much easier to restore a vehicle that isn’t your daily driver.. my 2nd car was a 72 el camino.. i paid $300 for it and got $20,000 when i sold it.. The first thing you will want to do when you buy a classic car is inspect the frame/body.. this is probably the most expensive part of the car.. you could luck out and buy a car from the south where there is little snow meaning less rust.. You could imagine spending between $500 and $10,000 just for body work.. now that isn’t including body panels.. if the body panels are in good shape *no major dents, holes can be repaired easier than big dents* expect $1000 for body panel work.. next would be the engine.. most often your not going to find one with an engine let alone an original engine for anywhere under around 10k so you can expect $2000 for a running engine or more depending on your power needs *but you can always luck out, i picked up a stolen 100% running LS7 motor from a police auction for $3000* then would be your interior work.. look at spending $1000 minimum.. then your paint job and that all depends on you.. but the idea to remember is rushing a restoration job will only make problems.. a restoring a classic is art in progress.. i spent 5 years on my el camino and the only reason i sold it was to get married..
