2010 camaro ss
Read this great review and write up: 2010 camaro ss
Q: What is the top speed of a 2010 camaro ss is it goes 160 in 4th gear?
I was wondering what the top speed was in all out 6th gear is it like 175 maybe idk
btw does the 2010 camaro ss come stock supercharged
A: well considering the gear ratios and the fact that the car only gets 25 mpg on the highway because it’s transmission gears are relatively short (not because it is terribly unaireodynamic as previously implied). without the limiter, all stock; it should do just north of 170mph. there is a Popular Mecahnic’s article where a limiter-less Camaro supposedly ran 174 at Bonneville.
Also, if you want a good idea of the potential top speed, look at the 05-06 Pontiac GTO. roughly the same weight, slightly less hp(400 vs 425), and gear ratios. without the limiter the GTO would easily do 170+. Ditto for the pontiac G8/Holden Commador, which the Camaro shares most of it’s chassis and drivetrain with.
in fact…more than a few magazines have tested stock SRT-8 Dodge Challengers into a low speedometer indicated 180 range. in reality it was actually 168mph. so considering that a Dodge challenger is much heavier AND has the same hp, AND has less gears (automatic), a SS Camaro should easily do 170+mph.
Q: How much will the 2010 camaro ss cost in 2012?
I dont have money right now and i want to get the 2010 camaro ss i was wondering how much it will cost in 2012 does anyone have an estimate???
A: Depends on the mileage, condition, and demand.
Q: Think I can get a 2010 Camaro SS for 25k if I pay in cash?
The sticker price is 33k for a black 2010 camaro ss. Think it’s possible to buy it for 25k ( or less) this weekend?
I live in a city of about 15k people.
A: You might be able to actually get it for sticker price, if you’re lucky. Dealers are marking these up, above MSRP, knowing people will buy them either way. Also, never buy a first year model car, unless you like being a guinea pig for the car’s problems.
Q: I’m getting a 2010 Camaro SS. Should I get the manual transmission or the automatic?
I’m getting a 2010 Camaro SS. The thing is, I don’t know how to drive a manual but I would love to learn to do it. Should I get the manual transmission or the automatic?
A: You can always divide people on this question with those whom have no idea of an automatic setup or have driven Grandma’s low cc automatic.
Automatic setups cover a mass of cars and setups seen in a mass of cars from the Enzo F430 Evo x GT-R Supra mk4 Skyline 3000GT Buggati F1 cars Merc Mclaren AMG SLR db9 911 turbo’s World record drag cars etc etc the list goes on in different forms of auto set up.
Also quiet often manually is faster to most people as they drive low cc cars and need the stick to regain the power than on than evel of engine cc a automatic would be slower,i have driven and owned sporty sticks cars which drive me made with having to keep dropping the gear to add power.
All auto’s feel different i have driven a mass of auto to sticks and non feel the same many have extra controls over the box and extra control can be given to the baox through the pedal, some have setups which offer instant power which is faster than be done manually and faster into the bends so all you get is instant power which often takes you higher intot herevs to which you would dare do manually.
So your answer is it depends to how it is setup to that car it could be a thrill ride or a boring ride no universal answer of automatics are for heavy driving etc is right for you my car atm is auto i dread heavy traffic as the autobox wants to go all the time and i have to keep power off and be aware all the time in heavy traffic or i would smash into the car in front so def not a sit back relaxing ride..
Q: how much will a 2010 camaro ss cost in 4 or 5 years?
i want to know how much a 2010 camaro ss cost in 4 or 5 years. or would the prices be low to buy it used?
A: um figure about 1/2 what they cost now………..maybe less…….lot less for those that get wrapped around poles and trees:)
Q: What Should I Put In My 2010 Camaro SS?
I have a 2010 Camaro SS and I want to know what I need to put in it so it can beat the 2011 Mustang 5.0 GT, I wanna know what to put in it and how much its going to cost, plz serious answers and thank you.
I could get any money I want!!
A: Your car isn’t the far off now, it’s pretty much a driver’s race. But if you want to spend the $$$ get a set of headers, a catback exhaust and do a PCM tune(www.pcm4less.com), you won’t have any worries after that.
Q: Are there any 2010 Camaro SS that are made of steel?
I have wanted to buy a 2010 Camaro SS and I recently heard that they are made of plastic or aluminum and I want to know are there any 2010 Camaro SS that are made of steel or metal like the old camaros?
A: The body is made of steel. The front & rear bumpers are plastic. The frame is steel. Engine parts are some aluminum, which is not a bad thing. The person that told you that is a fool.
Q: What is better a 2010 Camaro SS or the 2010 Mustang GT?
I am deciding what i want between these two particular cars. Please feel free to give your opinion.
A: Some drivers report that the Camaro is not as comfortable as the Mustang.
Also it depends on how far up the scale you want to go and availability. There is a very good chance that you can not find a SS for sale close to you, while you will be able to find a GT.
The SS is also a more of a handful on a winding road then the GT, but it is faster in the quarter mile.
If you are going to do mostly freeway driving, don’t mind having problems with comfort and don’t mind restricted vision, get the SS.
But if you plan on week end spins up the mountains, and want to be comfortable get the GT
While the Camaro looks impressive to some, it stops when you get behind the wheel except for the thrill of flat out acceleration.
The Mustang may have “dated looks”, but it is a better car for daily driving and while the figures are not as impressive as the Camaro’s it will still thrill.
Q: How does a 2010 Camaro ss get better gas milage than an Evo X?
I know its only by a bit but how does an 8 cylinder surpass a 4 cylinder in terms of gas milage?
A: aren’t evo’s all Wheel drive? if it is thats why
Q: which car is better a 2010 camaro ss or a 2010 challanger?
which car is better i am thinking of buying the camaro?
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com
Q: can you put an 2010 camaro ss exhaust in a v6 camaro? without any damage to the car or void the warranty?
thinking about doing it
i dont have to worry about cost, my friend currently has a V6 camaro and he has the SS exhaust and he’ll trade me exhausts + $200 I just want to know if i will harm the car.
A: think again….dont do it
1 cost
2 6 cylinders are smaller,,,the large pipes will make low airflow and bad running
3 get a proper v6 exhaust
4 its still gona sound like a 6 no matter what
Q: How would a LS9 crate engine and SLP headers 3″ X-pipe and loudmouth exhaust sound on a 2010 Camaro SS?
I want one when i turn 18 and i know alot about cars. Im trying to figure out what i want to put it in when i get it. i know will cost alot of money but it is worth it.
A: you realize an LS9 crate motor is a $24,000 motor right.. if you can afford to buy one of those motors you can afford to swap out different components to get the sound you want
Q: what color should i get my 2010 camaro ss?
its either yellow, orange, or black… if its yellow or orange its going to have black stripes, n it its black it is going to have orange stripes… give feedback, thanks.
A: i would say black but go with silver stripes.
Q: Question about a 2010 Camaro, and a 2010 Camaro SS?
whats the difference? ive seen pictures of the 2010 Camaro, and the SS? is this difference in the speed and engine or something?
A: The SS package is the V-8 version of the Camaro, and I HIGHLY recomend it! The V-6 Camaro is a great car in its own aspects and with a price point in the mid 20,000 dollar range and 304hp its a great car for the money! I got the 2SS/RS model which does cost more, (mid-30s) but WOW! Was it worth it! The better suspesion upgrades, brembo brakes just like the Ferrari has, leather interior. and the 400hp V-8!!! The muscle car days are back! You need to stop by your local GM dealer and take a test drive, this car is awesome!
Q: Wut Price will the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS or LT have with the RS Appearance package?
The 2010 Camaro with RS appearance package! SS or LT
A: listen pal, are you stupid or what- if gm goes bankrupt & the chances are high, there will be no 2010 ss package.
if gm does survive for sure there will be no muscle car in the gm line-up and there will be no after market equipment manufacturers making performance parts for a 2010 camaro………better start thinking about other options pal.
